Sketchbook: A Day in the Life
This is a fifty day diary written using free-writing techniques to give the reader a flavour of my life from 1st March to 20th April 2011. It includes poetry both produced and performed during that period as well as commentary about my life, my family history, the day’s and world events. It aims to inspire the reader to make positive changes in his/her life.
The diary is on tour in the U.S.A. throughout June and July as part of The Sketchbook Project 2011. From 5th August it’s home base will be Brooklyn Art Library.

Excerpt from 2nd March:
“I have always been in the habit of taking courses or going away for weekends to try out new things. In the past I’ve tackled yoga, tai chi and measuring trees for Earthwatch. Most recently I had a go at taiko drumming, driving all the way to a dojo in a remote part of Scotland for the experience.
So, if you’ve never tried something different, I urge you to take a moment to reflect now. Think of something you’ve always wanted to do and give it a go (within reason of course). Note how you feel just thinking about it”.
