Editing of The Life and Times of the Sparrows of Washington

During September I had the pleasure of editing ‘The Life and Times of the Sparrows of Washington 1560 – 1700′ for local historian Jennifer Tindall. Jenny was inspired to research and write the booklet as a result of her work translating wills and inventories from the period. Those of the Sparrow family captured her imagination and are woven into chapters covering topics such as: family and kinship networks, home and hearth, clothing and sustenance, and earning a living. The engaging writing style stimulates the reader’s interest in the narrative, which is illustrated by the author’s photographs and images. The title will be launched at Washington History fair in summer 2012.
